While traveling through China, our founder came across something unexpected in a small shop: a lamp that produced light from nothing but salt and water. No batteries. No charging. No power outlet. Just a spoonful of salt, a little water, and a steady, warm glow that lasted for hours.

It felt almost too simple to be real — and that's exactly what made it unforgettable. In a world that runs on disposable batteries and constant charging, here was a light powered by two of the most ordinary things on earth.

We couldn't stop thinking about how useful this could be back home: for camping trips, for fishing nights, for storms and power outages, for anyone who simply wants a reliable light that doesn't depend on the grid. So we decided to bring it to more people — and Ecosalite was born.
